MyHours - Online Attendance


What is MyHours Attendance?

  • MyHours is our Attendance Reporting System that goes directly to the State of Arizona for online learning. Per ASRS-15-901 and ASRS-15-808, Aspire Deer Valley’s Online Academy students are required to submit weekly attendance logs for each course.  All students are expected to meet their required attendance hours for the week:

   
6th Grade:   25 hours per week
7 - 8th Grade:  5 hours per week, per course
9 - 12th Grade:  7 hours per week, per course

When is MyHours Attendance due?

  • Each week’s MyHours are due every SATURDAY by 11:59 PM.
  • Weeks run from Sunday through Saturday.

Where do I go to complete MyHours Attendance?

  • Students can log in through your Canvas course, find MyHours on your DVUSD Start Page, by going to the link below, or use the QR Code at the bottom of this page: 
  • https://myhours.dvusd.org/login 

What counts towards my MyHours Attendance?

  • School work inside or outside of your Canvas course (ie. notetaking, studying, reading, or researching) counts towards your MyHours.

What if it takes less time than the required hours to complete my assignments for the week?

  • As an Aspire student, you must complete the minimum hours required for the week (Please see above for your grade level).  You may need to make adjustments to balance out your time for the week. 

What if there is a holiday during the week; do I still need to submit MyHours for that day?

  • Yes, you are expected to adjust your time for that week to meet your required minutes.  

I did not do MyHours! My Canvas account is disabled! How do I get my Canvas enabled again?

  • We disabled your Canvas account to make you aware of missing MyHours.  To enable your student’s account, you must call the Aspire Attendance Clerk at 623-445-4996 or email us: Aspire@dvusd.org.  Please include your student's name & ID.

It is expected that your MyHours be completed every Saturday night by 11:59 PM to avoid your account being disabled.  Completing MyHours is a requirement to continue your enrollment with Aspire.  If MyHours are not completed in a timely manner, your student will be considered truant.
 

MyHours Attendance Directions

  1. Log on to https://myhours.dvusd.org/
  2. Sign in with your school computer username and password (student ID/Lunch number).
  3. Select the week that you are reporting.
  4. Record the amount of hours per day you spent on each course.
  5. Submit attendance form every Saturday.
  6. If you have missing attendance, the Aspire office staff will send out a weekly email.
  7. It is the student's responsibility to record hours each week.

Helpful Tips

  • Report your attendance every Saturday by 11:59pm.
  • Keep a log of how long you spend on each of your courses. Remember, any time spent studying or reading material related to the course is required to be logged.
  • If you are having trouble accessing your MyHours, email Aspire or your teacher right away!
