Class Expectations
Upon completion of the Fitness Center students will:
- have the skills needed to enjoy participation in physical activities
- have an understanding of movement concepts, principles, strategies and tactics as they apply to learning and performance of physical activities
- participate regularly in physical activity both during and beyond structured PE class
- achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical fitness
- exhibit responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others in a physical activity setting
- value physical activity for health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression and/or social interaction
Health Courses Details:
- Course Description: Health will provide students with the skills and knowledge to make personal health decisions and maintain a healthy environment. Meets the health portion of the graduation requirement. Required with a physical education core class.

About the Teacher
Mr. Joshua Bahr
Instructor Information:
My name is Joshua Bahr. I'm excited to be entering my 21st year in education at DVUSD Aspire Online School. My undergraduate degree in Elementary Education is from the University of Iowa. I hold two masters degrees: Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania and Educational Leadership from Drake University. I have taught math, health, physical education and spent time as a principal and activities director in the state of Iowa. This is my 5th year teaching and coaching football in Arizona.
My wife is a teacher also and I have four wonderful children and two puppies. I enjoy being active by lifting, swimming, running, hiking, playing pickle ball and many other activities.
